Updated POOL GUIDE will be emailed around noon or 1pm on Friday. It's 11:35pm Thursday as I write this...any fantasy guides that are ordered between now and the morning, I will just hold off emailing you the Aug. 1st version and just send you the Sept. 21 version around noonish. If that is a problem, [...]

Ryan Miller is facing quite a arduous situation this year. His Sabres have been severely downgraded from “Stanley Cup favorite” to “playoff hopeful” due to the loss of Chris Drury and Daniel Briere. In fact, no other starting goaltender will have to deal with nearly this type of tumultuous roster turnover. So why is Miller so darn excited for the season to start?

DOBBER? At your draft? It's possible... CHECK THIS OUT   Shawn Bates is not 100 per cent healthy yet and he will continue to work out on his own. Don't count on 50 games from him this season. Ted Nolan on Sean Bergenheim and Jeff Tambellini: “Bergenehim was a little bit rusty in the first couple of [...]

Please vote in today's poll if you haven't already. Thanks.  Stoll will play between Robert Nilsson and Raffi Torres against the Leafs tonight.  The Wild have cut AJ Thelen. The minor cuts are starting to pour through across the NHL now. I will mention all the notables as they come.  Big surprise (not to me, I've been saying [...]

Tarik El Bashir of the Washington Post is my second source - Bouchard, Alzner and Godfrey are done. I thought they went too early on Bouchard...but I'm not the coach. I think he would have done well with the added time and experience in training camp.  Japer's Rink is reporting that the Caps have cut Bouchard [...]

Adam Mair skated on the fourth line between Clarke MacArthur and Jason Pominville in scrimmage. Do not be surprised if Pominville sees less ice time this season - he clicked with Briere, so last year's numbers were obviously inflated...but they may go down this year more than you would think. He is high risk and [...]
