Dobber 3-Tiered Pool Update End October

Now that the first month is in the books, it’s time to update Dobber’s 3-Tiered Hockey Pools.
Experts
The more things change, the more they stay the same. The format may have changed from daily roster changes to weekly and over half of the Experts pool participants are different from last year’s, but The Comish has once again sprinted out of the gate. The 16.5 point lead has to be considered shaky though as The Comish only leads one of the nine categories (Saves). RepentTokyo is showing us why he earned the promotion from the Pro pool and as of Halloween, his team sat in second place.
The weekly free agent bidding has been interesting to say the least. The highest bids in October were for Stamkos $38, Goligoski $31 and Sundin $22. The Fantasy Frog has already spent $60 of his $100 free agent money. Conversely, Maaaasquito Bites has only spent $9 on three players. The busiest team on the free agent front was Expert’s Audit, who won eleven bids.

It’s a very close race for first overall in the Pro pool with only 5.5 points separating first from sixth. With only the top two finishers moving up to the Expert’s division, I see this battle going right down to the wire.
The highest free agent bids were $22 for Devin Setoguchi SJ and $15 for Fabian Brunnstrom. Everyone has gotten in on the free agent action with a total of between two and six winning bids per team. 87flyer misfits2 have spent the most on free agents with $55 on six winning bids. The miser of the group, the Psychotic Bunch has only spent $2 on free agents.

Entry
The Entry division is also a tight contest at the top. A team going by the charming name of Moosevomit Retards leads the way. This pool has a different dynamic because unlike the Experts and Pro pools, which have 12 teams respectively, the Entry division has 16 teams. It’s much more difficult finding useful free agents to plug into the lineup.
The highest bid for a free agent was $15 respectively for Mason Raymond and Bryan Little. Five of the teams haven’t won a bid yet. Only one of those five teams is in the top half of the standings (6th).
