Fantasy Analysis: on the heels of acquiring Raffi Torres, Buffalo has shipped winger Clarke MacArthur to Atlanta for a third and fourth round draft pick.
The Sabres get: a good return for an expendable player.
The Thrashers get: a potential second-line forward who has yet to iron out his consistency – but has yet to really get a chance to. He should get that chance in Atlanta.
Fantasy Players Impacted: MacArthur will get ice time to start. He’s no longer a dropsy, as a fresh start is better than no start at all. On the depth chart, he slots in on the third line, but the Thrashers really move those guys around.
Nathan Gerbe’s net result of Torres in and MacArthur out: a wash. Ditto for Tim Kennedy.
