Good day to all in fantasy hockey land. This week I will be looking at the top lines over the last three games. I have compiled a list of the top 10 lines at even strength using Dobber's line production tool. I will also look at line replacements for a couple of key injuries that happened in the last week.

Hot Lines

Carolina Hurricanes

Sebastian AhoAndrei SvechnikovTeuvo Teravainen

This trio for the Carolina Hurricanes were on fire over the last three games. They’re doing an awesome controlling the shots for at over 65 percent and with that kind of number, the puck is bound to find the back of the net.

Sebastian Aho

The speedy forward for the Carolina Hurricanes is heating up after a slow start to the season. Over the last three games Aho has two goals and two assists and is averaging four shots. He also had one game-winning goal over that time. For this season, Aho has 11 goals and five assists at even strength with a shooting percentage of 15.8 which is a little higher than his career average of 13.7. He is on pace for only 68 points this year but if this line continues to stay hot, he could very quickly improve on that. He may not get to the 83 points he scored last year but I would bet money that he will be in the high 70s.

Andrei Svechnikov

The second overall pick of the 2018 draft, Andrei Svechnikov is off to a torrid scoring pace. Svechnikov is already up to 17 even strength points to go with his 10 power play points. He is currently on pace for 92 points which would almost triple his 2018 output. I’m not sure if he can keep up with that kind of output, but if he sticks with these current line mates all season then he has a very good chance at being a point per game player. Case in point: over the last eight games he has three goals and 5 assists to go with four power play points. Svech is also averaging a full two minutes more in ice time per game then he did in 2018. All this leads to a recipe for success.

Teuvo Teravainen

After a 76-point campaign in 2018, Teuvo Teravainen is continuing where he left off last season and is actually on a pace to best his career high in points. Currently Teravainen is on pace for 89 points. Over the last three games he has five even strength assists being the clearcut setup man of this line. Seeing as his shooting percentage is down this season he isn’t getting as much puck luck but is still managing to drive the offence. I see no reason why he can’t keep up his scoring pace, but if he does regress a little later into the season, I still put him as a point-per-game player.

St. Louis Blues

Zach Sanford – Oskar Sundqvist – Robert Thomas

While looking over the stat sheets from last Thursday’s game I noticed that four of the five St. Louis Blues goals were driven by this line. All nine of their combined points over the last three games came solely in this game against the Calgary Flames. I don’t see much of an outlook for this trio so please don’t look into this too deeply and run out and grab all three players. You’ll hate yourself when they go four or five games without scoring a point.

Montreal Canadiens

Max DomiArtturi Lehkonen – Nick Suzuki

Injuries have caused the Montreal Canadiens to shift their lines around to try and spread the offence. With this line, coach Claude Julien has struck gold. In their first game together, they racked up seven even strength points. It's tough to say whether or not this line stays together but if I were the coach, after the success they had, I would keep them.

Max Domi

Since coming over from Arizona during the summer of 2018 Max Domi has been close to a point-per-game player putting up 72 points in 82 games. This year he is currently up to five goals and five assists at even strength. Three of those points came in the one game he was paired up with the above linemates. He is currently on pace for only 57 points which is a 15-point downgrade from last year. I do feel 57 points is a little low for the scrappy forward, so I picture him close to the 65-70 point total. If he continues to have great chemistry with this line, then he certainly will get there.

Artturi Lehkonen

The fourth-year player Artturi Lehkonen usually doesn’t offer too much fantasy value unless you are in a very deep league. However, in one game with this line Lehkonen offered up plenty of value scoring two goals and adding one helper. Now I don’t see long term value with him but if he has another couple of good games like this past Saturday then be ready to grab him for the short term until things cool down.

Nick Suzuki

The former 100-point player in the OHL, Nick Suzuki is in his first season in the NHL. Currently Suzuki is on pace for 43 points which for a rookie playing sheltered minutes at centre is not too shabby. Being paired with Max Domi for the last four games he has 3 points over that span. I like Suzuki in Dynasty league but for this season alone he doesn’t offer too much fantasy value except for in small burst when he seems to be heating up. That short burst seems to be right now. Currently Suzuki is owned in about 45 percent of Fantrax league so if he is out there, now might be the time to scoop him up.

Injury Replacements

Viktor Arvidsson

Saturday was a bad night for Nashville Predators star forward Viktor Arvidsson. He took two nasty cross checks from St. Louis Blues Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo, who has since been given a four-game ban. Arvidsson is expected to miss the next four to six weeks with a lower body injury. Filling in for Arvidsson on a scoring line with Filip Forsberg and Ryan Johansen is forward Calle Jarnkrok. Jarnkrok is off to his best start of any season already up to 16 points in 23 games. Being moved up to the top scoring line will only help him best his previous high in points which was only 35 in 2017. He is currently shooting at 15.4 percent which is about 3 points higher than his norm. Currently he is only owned in 28 percent of Fantrax leagues so in the short term he would be a great pick up.

Steven Stamkos

Sitting out the last two games with a lower body injury is Steven Stamkos from the Tampa Lightning. He is currently dealing with a lower-body issue. Getting to suit up with Nikita Kucherov is Brayden Point and Ondrej Palat. Brayden Point is currently owned in pretty much every league so you're probably SOL trying to get him. Palat on the other hand is currently owned in 41 percent of Fantrax leagues so there is a good chance he is available. Palat has 15 points on the season after a three-point night Monday. He obviously is a downgrade to Stamkos but he will certainly do in a pinch. We don’t currently know how long Stamkos will be out but if you are looking for a good cheap option on DFS than Palat would be your guy. If the injury to Stamkos turns out to be something more long term then make sure you check Dobber's last game line tools to make sure he is still with the above mentioned pair.
