Since we saved some money on the budget plays let's look at the few of the pricey options that are worth paying up for today.

Centers

Claude Giroux $8,600 – After some concern over a lower-body injury; Giroux saw 22 minutes of ice time and ended the night with a goal and seven shots on net in Thursday's loss to the Wild. Like Ovechkin listed next, Giroux's home splits are fantastic. He has 15 points and 55 shots in just 10 home games. Columbus surrenders the most goals per game and the fifth most shots per game of any team in the league. The Flyers power-play also ranks fifth in the league going against the fifth worst penalty-kill in the league. Giroux should be the catalyst of the Flyers attack once again, and you can't ask for a better matchup.

Wingers

Alex Ovechkin $8,800 – What's not to like here? Ovehckin has 13 points in 10 home games and the Caps welcome in the lowly Buffalo Sabres who are second worst in the league in goals allowed. Washington's power play is also among the best in the league while Buffalo's penalty kill is in the bottom third. Ovechkin has three multi-point performances in his last five home games. The only potential drawback here is that his ownership levels should be through the roof in all formats.

Defensemen

Shea Weber $7,200 – I'll go right to the top of the board for this pick. I said last night on Twitter that every time I think Weber's price is too rich he just goes out there and gets points. In his last four games out he's only produced less than 6.5 FP once. He's had two goals and four assists and always gives you a few shots and blocked shots every time out. He has a very high floor and Nashville should roll against the Panthers at home.

Goalie

Pekka Rinne $8,500 – I'll go Pekka Rinne again here this week at home against the Panthers. Rinne is 12-4 on the season and has a GAA of 1.96 at home. You also have a good home possession team against a poor road possession opponent. The Predators are allowing just 27.6 shots per game and Florida is in the bottom third of the league in shots per game and is third from the bottom in goals per game at just 2.18. The Preds also gave Rinne the night off on Thursday, so he will be well rested.
