Looking Ahead – Week 26

Twenty five weeks down, one more to go in the NHL season. I found a bunch of sites that list who every team plays over the remainder of the season (like TSN has), but none actually show what days teams play on. Since that is key information in the fantasy world, I have put together a chart with every team's remaining schedule.

A tough decision can be made easier with these charts showing you the best five and worst five schedules for upcoming seven-day periods. Some of you used them last year but for the benefit of new readers here is a refresher. The number next to the team indicates the ‘multiplier’ to use on a player’s point-per-game pace to give you an idea how many points to expect for that week.

If you're in a Monday to Sunday league and are in need of a boost, there are a few teams that have double headers this weekend; Anaheim, Buffalo, Carolina, Dallas, Detroit, Minnesota and Tampa Bay. The Canes are your best bet for that stretch, facing the Islanders on Saturday and a potentially Miller-less Sabres on Sunday.

Looking ahead to the final week, Dallas owners in a Sunday-Monday league are blessed with a five game week for the Stars. Actually, Dallas owners in general should have grins on their face this week as even through Thursday night, they still have six games remaining, two of which are against the lowly Colorado Avalanche. The Avs have allowed 3.56 goals per game this season. The only other team with six games left as of today are the Devils.

On the other end of the spectrum, after Friday's meeting with the Blues, Calgary will only have three games left to play. Don't rid yourself of all Flames' players just yet though; they face Colorado, Edmonton and the Canucks, who could very well be resting their top guns by that point. Phoenix is the only other team that will have three games remaining after Friday night's games.

That's all for me folks. Just wanted to say thanks to all for the comments and suggestions throughout the season and hope everyone enjoyed the insight that brought.
