Posted a few of the pictures I have taken during the Olympics below. If you like Jeremy Roenick singing, you’ll surely like at least one of them…

The Rangers have claimed Alex Auld off of recall waivers from Dallas. He is an upgrade on both Chad Johnson and Steve Valiquette, but this does nothing to help his fantasy value, as the Rangers like to play Lunqvist most of the time. However, he still has some value in spot duty, as he is one of the better backups in the league.

Some not-so-friendly banter between Patrick Kane and Roberto Luongo, regarding Sunday’s game!

There were definitely some people in New York holding their breath when the news came down last night that Marian Gaborik had left the Slovakia/Canada game with discomfort in the groin area. However, it sounds like he is fine and will most likely suit up today in the bronze medal game. As a Gaborik owner, I’m glad that he is (apparently) fine, but I’d still rather him sit this one out!

Paul Kariya is willing to waive his NTC to go to a contender, per Andy Strickland. Even though he is a UFA this summer, it will be tough for many contending teams to try and fit Kariya and his monster $6 million salary in under the cap. Salary would undoubtedly have to be moved back to the Blues. Kariya has been a major flop this season, especially after many (including myself and Dobber) expected big things. He was apparently fully healthy for the first time in a long time, but that hasn’t translated onto the ice at all. However, if a team like Pittsburgh acquires him, his fantasy value will obviously rise significantly.

Got a question for Dobber? Ask him here!

Luongo’s glove save on Pavol Demitra last night will go down as one of the most clutch saves in Canadian hockey history. Most (including myself) thought it hit the post upon first glance, but Luongo ended up getting a piece of it with his glove.

Here is a link to the video of his save, in case you missed it.

Lots more coming later on this morning – was a late night for me out on the West Coast! Had a beer with Jeremy Roenick last night, what a guy! He did his usual set with the house band as well.
