Man, this is a bigger trade day than the deadline!
The Florida Panthers have acquired Tomas Vokoun from Nashville for a first round pick and two second round picks.
The Panthers Get: A true No.1 goaltender, unquestionably. Vokoun's only weakness is his health. The Panthers are definitely a better team for it.
The Predators Get: picks. The firesale continues. Does ownership want this team outta there, or what?
Fantasy Players Impacted: Vokoun's record will slip a little. Chris Mason is now a legitimate starter and will win 35 games this season. He deserves it. It may be wise to start bailing on your Predators if you own some, if your league counts the postseason. The Preds seem hell-bent on trying to make sure they don't make it there.
