The Tucker injury is apparently in his knee – and it looks bad enough to keep him out for a few weeks. Stay tuned…

The FAN 590 reports that Darcy Tucker was not in practice. More on that as I hear.

Kari Lehtonen's groin injury will keep him out for four to six weeks. Pavelec will surprise you – I really think he makes a great pickup right now.

Missed in yesterday's ramblings was the fact that Andrei Kostitsyn was a healthy scratch Saturday. I don't understand his slow start, since last season he was quite impressive in making an impact, but since he is not producing he is getting less of an opportunity to do so – it's a vicious circle that will take at least a half season to break out of.

Looking Ahead has been updated.

Milan Lucic will remain with Boston for the season. Teams have a big decision to make before a prospect plays their 10th game. If they play 10, then the first year of their three-year entry deal counts, which means that restricted free agency is a full year sooner.

Igor Grigorenko has been recalled from  Grand Rapids. He is pointless in four AHL games, but he needs to be on the Detroit roster for November or else he can go back to Russia.

Milan Hejduk is back on the shelf with back spasms. Reserve him, as it is not improving. He left Friday's game midway through (as I reported Saturday).

Pavol Demitra strained his right hip (or adductor) last night and left the contest midway through the third period. Consider him day to day.

In practice Jarret Stoll was moved to the wing on Shawn Horcoff's line. Raffi Torres is the other winger.

Pascal Leclaire stopped just 15 of 18 shots yesterday. The Jackets are sound defensively and will keep the shots to a minimum this season.

Erik Cole's foot injury will likely keep him on the shelf beyond the three games this week.

Zbynek Michalek, who has been out with a broken hand, will likely return Thursday against Anaheim.

Wilkes-Barre Scranton actually made Kris Letang a healthy scratch Saturday. The team won the game 6-1.

Jason Labarbera will get the start for the second straight game tomorrow against Nashville.
