Matt Bugg will be appearing on Hockey's Future Radio this evening to discuss the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Drop by HockeysFutureRadio.com at 9:00 ET to listen!

Mike Modano finally passed Phil Housley for first place on the all-time points list for an American player. I say "finially" above because of his early season slump but also because I find it appalling that a defenceman was on top of that list for so long. The Stars won 3-1 and Loui Eriksson was a healthy scratch for the 2nd straight game.

Peter Mueller woke up last night and recorded a hat-trick for the "Yotes" in their 6-5 OT win at Anaheim. Hopefully he can build on this and continue his solid play. It helped that he played over 16 mins instead of the 6-8 minutes Gretzky had been giving him in his previous games. Martin Hanzal played over 17 minutes and recorded a point.

Clarke Mcarthur was called up from Rochester by the Sabres yesterday to take Conolly's spot in the lineup and promptly scored the OT winner last night against the Bruins. He also played over 16 mins. Apparently Conolly's injury is just an abdomen strain and he should not miss much time. Hopefully he doesn't play in discomfort for a month, then realize he needs hernia surgery??

Erik Johnson has been recalled by the Blues and will be in the lineup tonight. Jimmy Howard was sent down by the Wings yesterday because Hasek was on the bench as backup last night for the Wings. Matt Moulson who had a great 2 game audition last week was recalled by the Kings.

Colby Armsrtong was a healthy scratch for the Pens again, while Samsonov set a new record last night after being a healthy scratch for the millionth time in his illustrious career. Ha Ha LOL Jaroslav Hlinka was scratched for the 2nd straight game for the Avs and that experiment is drawing to a close very soon.

No Spezza for the Sens again tonight. Like I said they will take it slow with him. The team keeps winning anyway.

Garth Murray was placed on waivers by the Canadians yesterday and Simon Gamache did clear waivers for the Leafs and will be sent to the Marlies. It must be nice to feel wanted.

I am going to plug my buddy Dave Bolland again. 3rd point in 5 games, over 16 mins. including some PP. Put him on your buy list in keeper leagues NOW.

Apparently Havlat will not be ready for contact until at least 1 week from now. I would move his return schedule from mid-november to late november.

Ryan Clowe had surgery Monday to repair an ACL injury. Why do teams let a player sit out for weeks then decide to have surgery??

Another tenative deal has been reached by the city of Nashville, Leipold, and the new ownership group to rework their lease agreement to keep the team in Nashville for 3 more years. Who cares, I lost my season tickets when they didn't come to Hamilton. This whole situation is a joke when the owner is willing to take MILLIONS of dollars less than Jim Basillie would have paid him. Is this a business or a Gary Bettman's puppet show??

John Leclair was charged with DUI yesterday.

Dion Phaneuf had x-rays yesterday on an old injury that was aggravated against the Avs on Tuesday night but results were negative. He is sore and will be a game-time decision tonight for the Flames. If he does miss tonight he would certainly be back next game.

Sam Gagner played under 7 mins. for the "Oil" last night but almost 4 mins was on the PP. Like I said before these kids need mins. and if they weren't going to play him he should have went back to junior. Hopefully they will excuse him for the World Juniors if his poor mins. continue.

Former Owen Sound Attack star Brad Richardson was cleared to play yesterday after his off-season wrist injury had significantly improved. He was sent to Hershey for conditioning and should be back with the Avs within a month.

I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank Dobber and all of our readers for putting up with me for the week. Hopefully everything was informative. There is no way I could fill Dobbers shoes completely;  I do have a real job and don't just live in a fantasy world. Ha Ha LOL-just kidding Dobber. Just for reader knowledge I spent 1.5 to 2 hours daily to locate information to bring you here so just imagine how much time Dobber and all of the other columnists spend researching to bring you the facts they do!! Thanks guys
