Are you in a keeper league where your team could use some help? DobberHockey is introducing a new feature – click here for details .

The Blackhawks placed Williams on IR (groin) and have recalled Dave Bolland. He's worth keeping an eye on and in very deep roto-leagues should be scooped up as a bench forward.

The Phoenix Coyotes have traded goaltender Alex Auld to the Boston Bruins in exchange for forward Nate DiCasmirro and a fifth round draft choice in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. DiCasmirro is 29 and a career minor leaguer. You can now obviously expect Auld to log all of Boston's starts for the time being. Those of you who picked up Rask should probably drop him now in roto-leagues. The B's won't rush him.

Tim Thomas left late in the game last night with a leg injury. He suffered a "lower body injury", but was walking up and down the runway during overtime. Just in case…now may be the time to look at Tuukka Rask as a possible starter.

Hannu Toivonen will get the start Friday for the Blues.

From the Palm Beach Post: Cory Murphy spoke with the media for the first time in more than a week and said he's making slow progress toward returning from his bruised left shoulder. Murphy said team doctors told him to take a few days off skating "and see if it calms down." "It's obviously frustrating. I'm doing a lot of things; I'm spending more time at the rink now than when I'm playing. (But) it's gradually getting better, for sure."

I love John Tortorella. I love how he speaks his mind and goes off on people, whether what he says is stupid or not. Tuesday he made reference to "media clowns". Wednesday after the game, several members of the media arrived at his post-game conference wearing clown noses. He wasn't amused. Hmmm…I wonder if I can sue him for stealing my 'clown' insult…

Washington checker Boyd Gordon has a broken hand and will be out for the next few weeks.

Chris Clark is still not skating due to his groin injury.

Mike York's injured foot kept him out of yesterday's contest.

Radim Vrbata returned the Phoenix lineup last night and had a goal, an assist and eight shots.

Jiri Tlusty (ankle) is ready to go again and the Leafs sent him down to the Marlies yesterday.

Nick Schultz suffered a throat injury last night and will be out for the next two games.

Jame Sheppard will not be allowed to play in the WJC, the Wild announced.

Steve Downie played just 4:39 in his NHL debut last night.

Dan Sabourin will likely get the start tonight.

Sergei Gonchar was back in the lineup last night and played 20:40.

Robert Nilsson had quietly put together a four-game point streak and has points in five of his last six contests. I figure he will end up with 45 points this season.

Patrick O'Sullivan led all Kings players in ice time with 22:29, but was held pointless. Still, what a great sign.

J-S Aubin played despite a sore groin. It is very possible that Jon Quick will get the start in goal tonight.

Peter Mueller had a three-point night, despite under 14 minutes of ice time.

The Red Wings (like all teams) are doing everything they can to ensure that their starter will be their starter. Since Hasek is coming off a win, he is getting thrown out there again tomorrow. Even though his win included facing just 16 shots Tuesday. That's how NHL coaches/GMs think. That is why Mason's job was never in danger, nor Turco's, and that is why Emery will get a huge opportunity to get his No.1 job back. That is also why the Avs will go back to Theodore as soon as he has a great game.

With the failure of Loui Eriksson to produce, the Stars are trying Junior Lessard on the Ribeiro line. Chris Conner had some success on that line, but they prefer him to play on the third line. Lessard was pointless last night.

Mark Recchi cleared waivers and the Pens will likely try and bring him back through re-entry.

Colby Armstrong had a two-point night. He has eight points in his last six games.

Zach Parise had his second four-point game in three contests. He has 17 points in his last eight.

Kris Beech has five points in his last three games. The 26-year-old played 14:23 last night.

Dave Koci was a healthy scratch last night.

Yanic Perreault played just 6:37 last night and was a minus-2. His career in fantasy leagues is pretty much done.

The Ducks are saying that Neidermayer could be in their lineup as early as next Wednesday. The team would than have 50 games left, so you can count on Nieds to get 40 points. That being said, his risk of injury is a little higher than it would be had he had a training camp. If a big offer is on the table for him, I would seriously consider taking it. His value now is as high as ever.

Geoff Platt played 12:30 in last night's contest and was a plus-2. He played with Bertuzzi and McDonald. Keep watching him.
