Does anyone out there still want Steve Downie? Suspended 20 games before he plays one… and now just four games into his career he punches Jason Blake in the face while Blake is held by a linesman. The NHL is investigating and may suspend him again.

Gilbert Brule scored three goals for Syracuse Sunday. That's why he'll be top 10 next fantasy prospects update.

Tomas Holmstrom will not be in the lineup today, but he is looking at Tuesday.

Dominik Hasek finally got a shutout by saving more than 19 shots. He saved 22 shots yesterday. I'm telling you – this season, his numbers should not be as good as they are. When he plays, the Wings clamp up defensively. He's 13-6-2 and 2.21. If you divide his minutes into his saves and multiply by 60, you will see that on average he faces 21.7 shots per game. By the Way, Osgood averages 27.7 shots per game. Still a little low, but realistic. Hasek's… that's not realistic.

Number one email sent to me over the last 24 hours: "Hey Dobber, I didn't get my guide!" Number one reason they didn't get their guide: they bought the Keeper League Fantasy Pack for $14.95 – that package does not include the midseason guide. Just an FYI

All guides have been sent out, if you did not get yours, send me an email please. You can find the address in the "About" section.

One little thing I should mention about the guide – the Lightning's prospect in there does not technically belong to the Lightning. He is only signed with their AHL affiliate, but in the NHL he is a UFA.

The Orange County Register is reporting that the rumors in the DobberHockey forum are true – Teemu Selanne is back skating again. He doesn't know if he wants to return. That sounds to me like he'll be back in three weeks and you'll have an official announcement in two. Let's see if I'm right.

Bochenski made his Ducks debut last night, replacing Bobby Ryan in the lineup.  He played 11:32 and 2:49 on the PP, but was pointless and a plus-1. He played with Weight and Bertuzzi.

Adrian Aucoin missed yesterday's contest with a lower body injury. It was day to day. It was bound to happen sometime with Aucoin, you should just hope it isn't his groin again.

Carolina forward Andrew Ladd has an orbital fracture and is day to day.

The Blackhawks sent Petri Kontiola down to Rockford and recalled Troy Brouwer.

The Blues sent Steven Wagner back down to Peoria.

Tampa Bay recalled Kyle Wanvig. If you need a depth winger, he may be worth a temporary flyer. He has 36 points in 33 games and 62 PIMs for Norfolk and in TB they are desperate to try anyone on the second line. If you're not desperate than wait and see what happens.

Mason Raymond has eight points in 11 games since being recalled.

Patrice Bergeron is back riding the stationary bike again. I can see him returning in seven or eight weeks if the Bruins are in the hunt.

Tuukka Rask was the backup yesterday, as Alex Auld and his wife had a baby. Rask was immediately sent back to Providence after the contest.

Aaron Voros, the latest fantasy wonder, took a step back yesterday. He was on the ice for all three NSH goals and was benched for the entire third.

Erat was back in the lineup (back spasms).

The Preds played to their first sellout crowd of the season yesterday.

Here's a weird one – the Preds scratched Ryan Suter. Barry Trotz working his magic again. By the Way,

Radulov got over 16 minutes and three on the PP. He rewarded his coach with two more assists.

Carle was back in the lineup for the Sharks, Ozolinsh was a healthy scratch again.

Ales Hemsky was back in the lineup after missing five games with a knee injury. You'll notice that Horcoff immediately picked up two points and ended his slump.

Mark Bell also suffered an orbital fracture and is out of the Leaf lineup day to day.
