Teemu Selanne has agreed on a contract with the Ducks and will rejoin the team. I expect that the Getzlaf, Perry, Bertuzzi line will remain intact, so this will shoot up the value of Chris Kunitz and Doug Weight. Weight is a great 'buy low' pickup here, no question. You might as well bench Brandon Bochenski, unless he can somehow unseat Kunitz, which I don't see. Discussion here.
As expected, the Sabres recalled Clarke MacArthur and Patrick Kaleta.
The Blues have recalled offensive blueliner Steve Wagner from Peoria.
The Caps will start Brent Johnson against the Habs tomorrow. Brian Pothier and Chris Clark were not in practice today.
The Panthers have recalled Anthony Stewart and Tanner Glass from Rochester.
The Blackhawks have recalled Jack Skille and Jordan Hendry from Rockford. They have also placed David Koci on waivers.
Bob McKenzie is reporting that Brad Richards has likely been playing the last 8-10 weeks with mononucleosis. That would explain a lot.
My article today on the Hockey News is the Top 15 fantasy surprises. Check it out…
Phoenix recalled Daniel Carcillo from his two-game conditioning stint in San Antonio. He had two points in those games. Activate the NHL PIM leader immediately.
Also, while I am not 100% certain that he will be back, I have activated Jere Lehtinen for tomorrow's game and it would be worth your while to do the same.
From the skills competition – the breakaway challenge. Gaborik, Ovechkin, etc….
