After slumping for several games, Keenan broke up the Iginla line and moved Huselius down to the second line. Tanguay was moved up to the first line and scored. The team lost, so the experiment cannot be deemed a success yet. Huselius is very streaky, so when he picks up a point expect many to follow very quickly.
Jason Arnott missed last night's game with a lower leg injury. He was a game-time decision.
As I mentioned yesterday – be wary of Dumont now that he has signed the contract. His 16-game point streak was snapped last night.
Mark Parrish left last night's contest with an apparent concussion. More will be known later in the week.
Jozef Stumpel has a slight shoulder separation. It was what kept him out for the last three weeks, so be wary of Stumpel.
Ladislav Nagy was placed on injured reserve with his neck injury and the Kings recalled Brian Boyle. He is ranked 80th on my fantasy prospects list, but only because he may be used as a defenseman – he has 65 or 70-point upside. The giant power forward had two points despite no PP time and just 12:38 of ice time.
Colorado GM Francois Giguere has made it known that he will be one of the parties who will be talking contract with Peter Forsberg. He'll fit right in there, with two centers already hurt, they'd love to add a third…
Marek Svatos missed last night's contest with a groin injury. His absence gave TJ Hensick 3:34 of PP time and Hensick scored twice as a result. Hensick, ranked 13th on my prospects list, will be a star.
The Rangers recalled Ryan Callahan from Hartford. Here's a guy who has certainly found his game in the AHL – 15 in 11 since being sent down.
Chris Phillips missed last night's contest with the flu. Take him, Alfredsson and Heatley out of the lineup and the Leafs can beat this team, see?
The Leafs recalled Robbie Earl, who showed a ton of hustle and a nice touch. He played 15:03, no PP time (big mistake, he would have done well) and tallied an assist. He is ranked 137th on my prospects list, but deserves a bump.
Did you know last night's hat trick was Mike Knuble's first in his career?
Devin Setoguchi was a healthy scratch last night.
Daniel Carcillo helped my expert league team – and thousands of fantasy teams across the continent – with his 25 penalty minutes last night.
It is reported that Teemu Selanne will make his debut Tuesday for the Ducks.
SPECTOR comments on reports of Hossa's likely destinations – OTT, DAL, SJ, BOS, MTL, NYR and DET. He rules out MTL, DET and NYR with some sensible points…
Don Cherry last night, for my American readers who don't get to see him…
(CBC, in their selfish, infinite wisdom, made Youtube disable the ability for me to show their highlights from last night. What a bunch of clowns. I hate giant corporations)
