Apparently not happy with all the PIM's (he must not be in any fantasy leagues), Gretzky and the Coyotes sent Daniel Carcillo to San Antonio.

Brett Sterling was sent to the minors.

Finding nothing on that rumor below. Someone just spouting off I guess, my apologies.

A lot of late news today. Mike Sillinger is out for three weeks with a hip injury. Frans Nielsen has been recalled.

Jaroslav Halak has been sent down and Carey Price has been recalled. Price will be the backup – I think the Habs sent him down to make it clear that Huet is the man for now.

Am I hearing a Stoll for Ryder rumor? I'm looking into that one. Stay tuned.

Shawn Horcoff has decided to have season ending shoulder surgery. Gotta love how NHL teams blindside you with this stuff. Obviously, Andrew Cogliano and Sam Gagner will benefit immensely from the added ice time.

Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News reports that Afinogenov aggravated his groin this morning and will not play tomorrow night. Drew Stafford (ankle) WILL probably play.

If I'm Jim Rutherford, I'm trading Erik Cole, Andrew Ladd, Bobby Hughes and three first rounders to Toronto for Mats Sundin and Andrew Raycroft. Then I sign on as Toronto's GM in the summer. haha

Washington has recalled Eric Fehr, who sits 30th on my fantasy prospects list. He has missed most of this season with a back injury that he says was a herniated disc that got worse and worse. Coach Boudreau immediately plunked him on a line with Ovechkin and Backstrom – in my mind the line of the future for this team – in practice. Fehr says that he is absolutely 100%. He has six points in 10 AHL games. He could potentially give you 20 points and 35 PIMs in the final 30 games and I would advise picking him up asap.

Daniel Alfredsson (hip) is questionable for Tuesday. He will try skating today.

Trade rumors in Montreal heat up as Michael Ryder becomes a healthy scratch yet again yesterday.

Brendan Shanahan missed yesterday's contest with various ailments. He has two points in his last 10 games while playing hurt. He is day to day.

The Pens sent down Jonathan Filewich. He was pointless in six.

Phoenix prospect Brett MacLean leads the OHL in scoring with 99 points in 45 games. He has played just four more games than his teammate John Tavares, but has 17 more goals. He is ranked 120th on my fantasy prospects list (and rising). As a left winger he should find a home in Phoenix sooner rather than later. He will be in the top 60 next update.

Maxim Afinogenov will play tomorrow – get him in your lineup.

Drew Stafford skated in a non-contact role yesterday.

Glen Murray was back skating yesterday. No timetable is set for his return.
