My weekly fantasy mailbag for The Hockey News is now up.

Lukas Krajicek is most likely going to require season-ending shoulder surgery.  Expect to see a lot of Luc Bourdon down the stretch and in the playoffs, if the Canucks make it.

Gagne feels better but will remain out of action for four more days.

Scottie Upshall (right ankle sprain) skated in Voorhees and was expected to practice with the team today. Braydon Coburn (buttocks – insert childlike laughter here) also was moving around and might skate with the team today.

The Rangers have (reportedly) re-signed goaltender Henrik Lundqvist to a six-year contract extension believed worth around $6.5 million per season. May not be announced until tomorrow.

Niklas Kronwall is doing more rehab on his injured clavicle each day. He has no problem shooting the puck. "It's when the puck gets a little further away from me," he said. "That's a little tough. I'm sure that will come in the next couple days." Kronwall said he didn't have a lot of power in his arm right now, and it would be hard to battle someone in the corner or to reach to defend a pass. (Detroit Free Press)

Fredrik Modin will be back in the Columbus lineup tonight.

Tim Connolly, who had two assists last night, may miss tonight's game. Part of the plan with him is to sit him for the second of back to back games to get him through the season before hip surgery this summer.

Andy Murray made Lee Stempniak a healthy scratch last night. I was never sold on his upside and have never had a desire to own him in either of my keeper leagues.

Colorado rearguard Brett Clark left last night's contest with a shoulder injury. The injury seemed serious.

Paul Stastny has recovered from his appendectomy. He missed last night's contest with a…groin injury? Bad luck for Stastny owners – consider him day to day with his new injury.

Ignoring the games prior to Ilya Bryzgalov's arrival–because the goaltender has clearly made Phoenix a new team–the Coyotes are 11-9-1 with Carcillo in the lineup and 10-6-3 with him out of the lineup.

Cory Stillman played just over 14 minutes and assisted on the only goal by the Sens last night. He played most of his shifts with Mike Fisher, although when Fisher and Alfredsson were on the PK, Spezza, Heatley and Stillman jumped over the boards when it was back to even strength. Still, I was surprised that they kept all their eggs in one basket like that for most of the game. Considering they got trounced, that may change.

Chris Mason stopped 40 of 42 shots.

Alex Radulov has 10 goals and 14 points in his last 11 games.

Jimmy Howard made his fifth career NHL appearance and his first since 2005 Tuesday when starter Chris Osgood was chased from the game early in Detroit's 4-2 loss to Nashville. Osgood gave up three goals on the first four shots that he faced. Howard came on and stopped 18 of 19, allowing the Red Wings to get back in the game.

Ottawa sent Nick Foligno to the minors yesterday.

Patrick Marleau (groin) did not get back into the lineup last night after all. He is day to day.
