Dobber Sports

2008-06-02

The French version of the Fantasy Prospects Report – Le Guide des Espoirs de Dobber, Édition 2008 is now ready for download.

Sami Kapanen has signed to play in the Finnish League next season.

A great way to start the week if you're a fantasy sports company. The U.S. Supreme Court announced today that it will not hear an appeal from Major League Baseball Advanced Media and the MLB Players' Association to overturn lower court rulings that allowed CDM Fantasy Sports to use players' names and statistics without a licensing fee.

Kris Letang is doubtful for tonight's contest as he attends the funeral of his close friend Luc Bourdon. The Pens recalled Alex Goligoski, who is still going in the AHL Calder Cup final.

Chris Chelios will not be in the lineup either. Healthy scratch.

Tomas Holmstrom will return. McCarty will be scratched.

Ron Hainsey will test the UFA market. He hopes to sign for $4 to $4.5 million per.

Garth Snow has stated that he will not offer contracts to Satan, Vasicek or Fedotenko. Don't be surprised if the latter two go back to Russia.

Dubielewicz was given a contract offer, but he turned it down because it was two-way. Frankly, I don't blame him. I'd be looking for a one-way somewhere and if October rolls around and I haven't found one, I would just sign to play in the RSL.

The Sabres got it done with Tim Kennedy, signing the promising prospect to a two-year entry level deal. He moves up on the Fantasy Prospects List with the news. He is a smallish forward with Derek Roy upside, but the Sabres have a lot of players like that. Still, keep an eye on him in training camp.
