The Blue Jackets were at it again, this time signing a very talented forward in Kristian Huselius to a four-year deal…

 

 

Columbus now boasts the best 1-2 punch on the left side in Huselius and Rick Nash – but the two will absolutely play on the top power-play together. With Freddie Modin also a left winger, it is possible that Nash will be moved to the right side. RJ Umberger and Derrick Brassard will be the top pivots likely to line up with one or both of the stars, and Jakub Voracek should also get a spot in the top six.

 

Although Columbus is as terrible a destination as any for Huselius owners, it sure beats a Mike Keenan team. With a contract like this one, Huselius is guaranteed 18-plus minutes a game no matter how weak defensively he is. He and an emerging Nash will become the first Blue Jackets to tally 80 points in a season this year.
