Carolina forward Zach Boychuk had wrist surgery Tuesday. From here forward I am refusing to say "successful" surgery like other media outlets. Because they're always successful at first. They're never deemed "unsuccessful" surgeries. I'm taking a stand! Anyway, the small pivot is ranked 141 on my prospects list, basically because he is several years away. He will need three months to recover.
The Ducks signed Logan MacMillan to a three-year entry-level contract. He is ranked 264 in my Fantasy Prospects List.
Atlanta re-signed Nathan Oystrick, who pretty much needs to make the team this year or he'll be labelled a career minor leaguer. The Thrashers also signed Joey Crabb.
The Coyotes signed Jeff Hoggan and Ryan Lannon as UFA's.
The Sharks have signed Cory Larose and Brendan Buckley as UFA's. They actually signed with Worcester.
The Leafs have re-signed Ben Ondrus, Jaime Sifers and Alex Foster. They also signed UFA Richard Petiot.
The Wild also did a whole lot of housekeeping, signing Danny Irmen (253 on FP List), Corey Locke (120 on FP List), Peter Olvecky and John Scott, as well as UFA's Brandon Rogers and Bryan Lundbolm. The latter two actually signed with Houston.
Former Preds goalie prospect Dov Grumet-Morris has signed to play in Europe next season.
Jeff Jillson has signed to play in the KHL.
