Listen live to Dobber on the Bill Watters Show at 5:40pm RIGHT HERE.

The Ducks have placed Mathieu Schneider on waivers.

Just a reminder – the Fantasy Guide is updated as of Sept. 15, but I will be updating it quite frequently as training camps get rolling. Both the Guide and Draft List will be updated every 3-4 days up to October 10, so keep checking the Downloads section to pick up your latest version of each.

Rod Brind'Amour underwent a "house-cleaning procedure" on his knee according to the newsobserver. Some torn cartilage will be removed, but he is expected to be on the ice before the season opener. He will miss most of training camp.

I have decided to stop archiving my Hockey News articles on here. There is more than enough exclusive content on DobberHockey and adding my THN stuff is not really needed. I have placed a link in the left menu to the THN section so you can check them out at your leisure. I post every Tuesday and Saturday, and I do THN's Fantasy Mailbag every Wednesday.

Listen in on the Bill Watters Show on AM 640 at 5:40 this afternoon and hear some of my fantasy hockey thoughts.

It was a big bone of contention between Ted Nolan and Garth Snow last season – Jeff Tambellini's ice time. Coach Scott Gordon hinted at doubling Tambellini's ice time in a recent Newsday article. If that happens, look for the youngster to flirt with 50 points this season.

PIT prospect Luca Caputi continues to be held out of prospect camp action with his hip injury. Caputi is ranked 51st on my fantasy prospects list.

Antero Niittymaki will be out for a month after undergoing hip surgery. That takes him to the end of October, which means Biron will start the first 8-10 games.

Detroit prospect Ville Leino has a clause in his contract that will allow him to return to Finland if he does not make the Wings.

LA signed Jarret Stoll and Brad Richardson on Monday. Stoll was signed earlier, but it was made official yesterday. Richardson signed a two-year contract that I believe is one-way (unconfirmed). He has offensive talent, but has not shown it at the NHL level and as a result has been pigeonholed as a checker.

Edmonton prospect rearguard Taylor Chorney has impressed in camp so far to the point where he is being considered to make the team. This would be a couple of years ahead of when most people anticipated. Chorney is ranked 476 on my fantasy prospects list, but moves up with the news.

The AJC is indicating that Erik Christensen will get first crack at the Kovalchuk line and that Jason Williams will be on the right wing. Christensen is a streaky, but capable scorer and if he can time his hot streak for the beginning, he'll keep the job. That would mean 65 points. That being said, it's the NHL, and it is rare that a coach maintains line combos.

Carolina's Matt Cullen practiced hard yesterday and says that he feels good. If you recall, he had concussion problems to end last season.

The Hurricanes signed Matt Murley to a two-way contract. Murley will probably be the first recall this year if there is an injury up front.

Buffalo rearguard Mike Weber will probably start the season in the AHL thanks to the numbers game. Nathan Paetsch would have to clear waivers and that seventh spot is probably going to be between those two.

Calgary's Kyle Greentree was slammed headfirst into the boards in exhibition play and was taken to hospital. He will be fine, and managed to escape without a concussion or worse – a neck injury. He had apparently been playing well on a line with Backlund and Nemisz.
