An interesting piece in the Tennessean comparing Radulov's situation with Semin's from a couple of years ago…

My power number article in the Vancouver Sun, although the online version doesn't make it look very nice…

Rick Rypien will be out indefinitely with a sports hernia – he will undergo surgery.

Some Blues news: Chris Mason (appendectomy) is back practicing and will get the start on Thursday. Also, Alex Pietrangelo (head injury) is hoping to practice today.

Sergei Zubov is hoping to be back in the lineup Saturday.

The Isles released a statement to their loyal fans and season ticket holders. They explain that Rick DiPietro has a lower body injury unrelated to his previous injuries. Hopefully, the people who pay the organization thousands of dollars per year will accept this information as the truth and feel much more enlightened now. Because NHL teams never lie in their released statements. Right? DiPietro is "day-to-day" . Technically, all injuries are "day-to-day". Steve Sullivan is "day-to-day". What garbage. Are you with me fantasy poolies?

Pascal Leclaire has been placed on IR with a sprained ankle and the Jackets have activated Jared Boll. Boll played 9:29 last night.

📢 advertisement:

Cam Barker was back up with the Hawks last night and played 13:35. He did not see PP time.

The Jackets scratched Filatov again.

Brent Burns left last night's contest in the second period and did not return. He has a lower body injury.
With an assist last night, Kyle Quincey has three points in five games and is a plus-5 for Los Angeles.

Henrik Tallinder has an ankle injury so the Sabres recalled Mike Weber.

The Sharks recalled Jamie McGinn from Worcester. Marcel Goc may have an injury – as you may have noticed, there is no more "disclosure" in the NHL. Assuming there ever was disclosure. They tell me there was.

Jay Bouwmeester has zero points in seven games.
