Janne Pesonen was recalled by the Pens yesterday. He played 9:52 and was a minus-1 in his NHL debut. He is doing extremely well in the AHL though.

The Islanders finally gave their biggest clients – the season ticket holder – some specifics regarding their biggest asset. Rick DiPietro underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Friday and he will miss 4-6 weeks.

Yann Danis had a strong start in DiPietro's place yesterday, but really tailed off in the end, blowing a 4-1 lead and losing 5-4. It is clear that he and MacDonald will split the starts unless someone steps up.

Brent Burns got hurt again – in warmups yesterday and he did not play. The suspicion is that it is a lower-body injury. He is expected to play Tuesday.

Alex Pietrangelo returned to the Blues' lineup yesterday. He played 15:16 and was one of the few Blues to not register a negative plus/minus.

Legace (hip) and Bishop (groin) have still not returned to practice.

Denis Grebeshkov left last night's game with a "mild" concussion. He will be sidelined for at least a few days.

Sidney Crosby did indeed play last night and picked up two points.

Ruslan Fedotenko left the morning skate with an undisclosed injury and did not play last night. Consider him day to day.

Raffi Torres returned to the Columbus lineup and played with Peca and Umberger.

Pascal Leclaire will practice Monday, but is still a few days away from game shape.

Ryan Craig returned to the TB lineup. Pettinger and Niskala were scratched. Radim Vrbata is still out with a groin injury, but is getting closer.

TJ Oshie left last night's game with a high ankle sprain. This generally means a couple of months on the shelf so reserve him immediately.

Pekka Rinne got the start yesterday after all, as Dan Ellis still couldn't go (back strain).

Philly's Andreas Nodl, ranked 49th in my fantasy prospects list, has a lower body injury and is questionable for next game.

Martin Brodeur left last night's contest with a bruised elbow and he is doubtful for Monday.

Atlanta called up Ondrej Pavelec for yesterday's contest because Kari Lehtonen was sick.

Tim Connolly played 19:04 in his season debut last night and he led all Sabres in PP time. He picked up an assist. He is a must start in all leagues – but you can only hope for sustained health. It's always something (injury) with that guy.

Not only will Zubov be back on Friday, but Jere Lehtinen (groin) is also expected to return to the Dallas lineup.

Petr Budaj will get the start for the Avs today.
