Nashville has sent Ryan Jones and Patric Hornqvist to Milwaukee for at least a week. This way, they can get a ton of ice time over three games. One or both will be recalled in the middle of next week.

I predicted this a couple days ago in the ramblings and I hope some of you listened – Matt Lashoff has been recalled by the Bruins to replace Ference in the lineup. Lashoff is tearing up the AHL and after a horrible camp he has a lot to prove. He is worth a flyer and I hope you acted on Monday or Tuesday when I suggested it. It may be too late to grab him now.

The answer to the below trivia question is Denis Maruk.

James Neal was recalled because Jere Lehtinen is hurt and will be out for a week – just finding this out today, thanks to the NHL's new  "you don't have to disclose injuries" policy.

TJ Hensick has three points in five games as Sakic's replacement. Hensick's ice time has been declining though, from 19:25 four games ago to 18:13 to 15:02 to 11:03.

Ovechkin getting a goal and three assists last night means that he has gone five straight games with at least a goal and an assist. The last Capital to do that was… who? Answer in the forum in the NHL Discussion section for +5 Karma.

Bobby Ryan played 16:16 last night and had a three-point game. He is in Anaheim to stay.

Mike Green hurt his shoulder last night and was wearing a sling. He took a hard hit from Pronger and was sent into the boards. The Caps play tonight and he is doubtful. However, Saturday's contest is a possibility.

Rangers' prospect Evgeny Grachev, drafted 75th overall in the summer, recently had a four-goal game for Brampton of the OHL. He has 21 points in 19 contests. He is ranked 156th on my Prospects List, but moves up as he shows how well he adapts to the North American game and his willingness – and eagerness – to remain in North America.

Derek Roy has four points in his last three games.

Since joining Tampa Bay, Steve Eminger has five points in six contests and is a plus-1 with six PIMs. I don't know if it will last – he certainly has the ability – but I would take a flyer on him immediately while keeping an eye on how he does. I can always drop him in four games if he stops producing.

Joey MacDonald has won three straight games and has a .961 SP in that span.

Mikhail Grabovski has 11 points in his last eight contests.
