TB claimed d-man Cory Murphy off of re-entry waivers, meaning they will share his salary with Florida. He will man the power play with Steve Eminger and that will set Meszaros and Ranger on the second unit where they belong. The only value that changes here is Murphy's, who gets a new shot. As for TB's decision, I don't really see a fit here – but the last time they took an underrated offensive d-man from Florida, his name was Dan Boyle, so you never know…

The Sharks recalled Claude Lemieux. I figured this would happen in the final two games of the season, but not so soon. He will play the fourth line and inspire this team nicely, logging five minutes a game.

Interesting – both Ryan Smyth and Milan Hejduk scored their 300th career goals last night.

Mike Zigomanis underwent shoulder surgery and is out for the season. Not of fantasy signficance but he was a stud at the faceoff circle for the Pens so you will see them address that at the trade deadline.

Both Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang were back in the PIT lineup Sunday. Alex Goligoski was scratched. Crosby played 20 minutes and Letang played 21.

Rick Nash returned to the CBJ lineup and picked up three points in nearly 24 minutes of ice time.

I told you about Huselius' streaks, and he seems to be in one now. Nine points in his last seven games and six in his last three.

Thomas, Minard, Bisonette and Jeffrey remain with the Pens while Janne Pesonen was sent down. Not the greatest sign for Pesonen

Hemsky played 16 minutes, scored twice and was a plus-3 in his return from a concussion.

The Blues have recalled Steven Wagner from Peoria. He replaces Roman Polak, who is out 4-6 weeks with a broken foot.

Keith Tkachuk was back in practice yesterday and is probable for today's contest.

Despite how much the Columbus Dispatch is raving about the play and impact of Jason Williams on the Jackets, I suggest that you be wary. He played just 11 minutes in all and just one very short in the final 11 minutes of the tight game. And no, it wasn't because he was playing with a swollen eye – he saw a regular shift after sustaining the injury, right up to the 11-minute mark of the third period. He played 17 minutes his first game with the team.

The Kings have sent down Teddy Purcell and have recalled Jonathan Bernier. Ersberg sustained a LBI Saturday and is day to day.

The Preds have sent down Mike Santorelli.

Good sign for Price owners – the Habs have returned Marc Denis to the AHL.

Companies, big and small, are dumb. Why? Because they don’t think outside the box. How else could you explain why so many haven’t considered buying an ad spot for Dobber Nation? A 30-second spot costs $50-$100, depending on the arrangement. This is the starting price – by next year the cost will double because we will have sold all our inventory. So why in the hell would you not roll the dice with an ad? You buy an ad on a local AM station for 10 times the price and you reach 10,000 to 50,000 listeners – but these listeners channel hop during commercials. On Dobber Nation, you reach 10,000 listeners… and none of them channel hop! They sit and listen to the show from start to finish because they downloaded it! If it’s my company, I say “screw the AM radio spots, I’m going to give Internet Radio ads a shot”. But what do I know about growing a business – I only grew DobberHockey from 10 visitors a day in 2006 to 75,000 a day today.
