According to Aaron Portzline's Blog , Kristian Huselius suffered a cut wrist and will not play tonight. Apparently, his arms were hanging over the boards and it looks as though Rick Nash jumped the boards and his skate cut him. He played with stitches, but the wrist later stiffened up. His replacement, Alex Picard, got hit with a puck in the mouth in practice today, so he will probably be out as well.

Bobby Ryan has 19 points in his last 16 games. I have trouble believing that Selanne's return will slow this guy down…

Give Rene Bourque 17 points in his last 16 contests.

Steven Stamkos has points in each of the last four games that he has played. Looks like those "strengthening" sessions – the ones where he is a healthy scratch for a game – are paying off.

Tough guy Cody McLeod has five points in his last five games and 13 PIMs in that span. He is seeing more ice time and is taking advantage of it. He is playing with Arnason and Tucker.

Pavel Datsyuk left last night's contest in the third with a hip pointer.

CBJ prospect Stefan Legein will miss the next month with a broken finger. Good year for him…

Kristian Huselius will play in CGY tonight for the first time this season. He is riding a run of seven points in four games.

The Dispatch reports that Filatov missed last night's game with an injury to his left leg. His injury in the preseason was to his right. The team doesn't play again until after the break, so he will miss no more games and last night's miss was a precaution only.

You will see a lot of players missing their team's last game before the break, to extend their rest. Pavol

Demitra is another example of this. Rob Blake is another.

Carey Price, who came on in relief of Halak last night, will get the start tonight against NJ.

Confirmed rumor: Rick DiPietro is done for the season, if there was any doubt… I'm very interested to see if the Isles will deal for a goalie, if they will sign a beer league goalie and go for Tavares.

Antoine Vermette's last four games in which he tallied a point were all multi-point games. With three points last night, he has nine in his last eight. Even though he's been going one or two games without a point between each of his multi-point outbursts, he appears to have turned the corner. Though he was in on two Heatley goals, he played with Kelly and Winchester again.

The Pens are now listing Goligoski as a day-to-day with an illness. I find it a little convenient and it may be a face-saving measure. He's a healthy scratch, in my books unless I actually witness him hurling ;)

Ales Hemsky has six points in two games since his return from a concussion.

Peverley played over 21 minutes last night vs. Todd White's 18 minutes. Peverley may be negatively impacting White.
