Steve Mason is doubtful tonight due to a cold.

NYR line combos in practice, per the Blue Notes blog : Gomez, with Avery and Zherdev; Drury, with Dubinsky and Voros; Koprikoski with Naslund and Callahan. Antropov did not skate (he was "banged up"). I'm sure he would replace Voros.

Daniel Briere will return to the lineup for the 17th time tonight. Ditto for Biron. Briere skated with Claude Giroux in practice.

The Tennessean got a hold of Radulov's agent. Jay Grossman says that Radulov will probably not play for the Preds this season.

Pekka Rinne is back from his bout with the flu, but he may still just be the backup tonight.

Jason Arnott missed yesterday's practice. He is doubtful tonight.

Jordan Staal has five points and is a plus-6 in his last six games.

David Krejci has just two points in his last 10 games and eight in his last 20.

Both Krejci and Phil Kessel missed practice yesterday. Since the coach told the Globe that he was "hopeful" they would play next game, it seems to indicate that they are hurt.

It's about time. Martin Havlat finally missed a game due to injury last night (LBI). he is day to day and the Hawks aren't saying a whole lot about it.

Joni Pitkanen left last night's game with a LBI. Seidenberg played nearly 27 minutes as a result.

Jussi Jokinen was back in the CAR lineup. He had missed four games for personal issues back in Finland.

He played just 6:42, as I am sure he will need a couple of games to get back into game shape. Still, his ice time is indicative of Erik Cole's presence in the lineup. Jokinen was hot prior to his absense and he did score in the shootout.

A Dobber favorite, who I had finally given up on this year – Ryan Shannon – has seven points in 11 games and three in his last three for the Sens. He seems to be on the team for good, and now I kind of regret dropping him for Winchester in the final round of my draft last summer.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – Thanks for Vejmelkmories

Elizabeth and Lewis reunite to bring you all the latest fantasy news and strategy, such as how our siblings would fare if called on to fill our roles like Owen Sillinger did for bro Cole. Then it’s onto news including coverage of the postponed CGY/LAK game and defensive injuries piling up in MIN and putting some strain on Gustavsson’s performance. Injuries and outjuries include a pair of goalies returning to their teams in Ingram and Shesterkin, as well as how Monahan’s wrist injury opens the door for big minutes for Fantilli. Finally, the pair touch on Voronkov and PLD’s hot streaks, and discuss John Carlson’s rollercoaster in light of Chychrun’s production.

Keeping Karlsson: Tuch Hunch

On this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast mega-show, Elan and Brian tour every team, ranking a slate of the least bad goalies, noticing the wind in some Red Wings’ and Stars’ sails, dangling snoozer status above a pair of commonly rostered power-play quarterbacks, and rushing or strolling, accordingly, to some skaters on the up and up.
