Vancouver signed college free agent forward Eric Walsky. The 24-year-old finished second on Colorado College scoring this season, one point behind Toronto prospect Chad Rau and 13 ahead of Chicago prospect Bill Sweatt. Using their standing as a base of comparison, Walsky would slide in around 200th on my prospects list.
With Boyd Gordon out with a broken finger, the Caps recalled Chris Bourque. If he can play well, there will be a spot open for him straight into the playoffs. If not, then the team will recall Alex Giroux.
Nathan Horton will take today's morning skate and hopes to be in the lineup against Carolina.

Forward Jamie McBain (Wisconsin), Carolina prospect ranked 232.
Forward David McIntyre (Colgate), New Jersey prospect ranked 210.
Once again, Justin Williams returned early from an injury, making his LA debut last night. He played with Calder and Stoll. Williams played 13:36 and was a minus-1.
Kopitar, Brown and Purcell were the first line. Purcell's stock continues to rise.
Dominic Moore had two points last night and saw a lot of PP time. However, that is an illusion as Buffalo had seven power plays. He is on the third power-play unit, which rarely sees time unless there are a lot of PP opportunities.
