The Blues have re-signed pending UFA Keith Tkachuk to a one-year deal. Was there ever any doubt?

OK…now I'm officially old. When you can remember studying a player when he was an 18-year-old and deciding whether or not to draft him…and now he's in the head office of an NHL team, that's not good news. I'm gonna have to drink my sorrows away on this fine Friday. By the way, the Avs named Steve Konowalchuk assistant coach and Adam Deadmarsh video/development coach.

The Canucks signed undrafted forward Matt Pope to a two-way deal. Hoping for another Burrows, as Pope is a hard worker who toiled in the ECHL. For now, leave him off your radar.

The Coyotes have signed Petr Prucha to a two-year deal. Hopefully he can recapture some of his rookie magic, but I wouldn't count on more than 40 out of him next season.

The 'Yotes were wise in moving Steven Reinprecht to Florida. He was a UFA and they got Stefan Meyer out of the deal. Meyer is more of a defensive specialist who can chip in with some offense. He'll be a fourth liner next year. Meanwhile, Reinprecht has signed a three-year deal with the Cats. He'll give their top six some scoring depth, which the team will desperately need if they run through the same injuries that got them last year. For him I would think high 40s.

Those keeper league owners with a big stake in this year's Entry Draft will be very interested in perusing this thread from yesterday . Our draft expert Matt Bugg took your questions for a good hour and it makes for a great read. It was such a success, that Bugg is ready to do it again Monday afternoon, and the originally scheduled Q&A for next Thursday has been expanded to TWO hours. You WILL be ready and well-armed when it comes to the Draft this year.

I went ahead and posted the NHL Awards voting results, they can be found HERE.

Isles' prospect Jeremy Colliton has signed to play in the SEL next year. His odds of making the NHL were fading anyway.
