Fantasy Guide is updated as of this evening. Tomorrow afternoon I will remove all highlights from the updates and begin highlighting anew.
Changeover complete. Spam should be gone from the forum forever.
The “SEARCH” function above, disabled for the last couple of weeks with the changes, is now fixed.
Petr Sykora has been invited to the Wild training camp on a tryout basis.
At 1am tonight (Tuesday morning – ET) we will go live with our new system that will stop the spam in our forum. The site may be down at some point between 1am and 3am. We chose that time for the low traffic.
Dennis Seidenberg has signed a deal with the Panthers. Analysis to come…
The Leafs have offered Bill Thomas a tryout. He is a talented winger, but unless he can show that he is a top sixer, he won’t make it. the team has too many third-line wingers with second-line upside, so it will all boil down to which one steps up the most in camp.
Tomas Fleischmann’s blood clot will cause him to miss all of training camp and the first five to 10 games of the regular season. He will be able to practice again in about three weeks. If things go well and they rush him a bit, perhaps he will only miss a game or two, but count on five to 10.
Tarik El-Bashir also reports that the Caps and Michal Nylander are trying to find a way to allow him to play in Europe this year. Do not count on him for any points, if for some reason you were.
Two days, still no Gretzky at Phoenix camp.
The Rangers have invited Dan LaCouture to camp on a tryout.
The Flames are trying Mikael Backlund on the Iginla-Jokinen line. It’s early, but that would certainly be the situation that a Backlund owner wants.
The Globe is reporting that Marc Savard left yesterday’s session bothered by his knee injury. It was “maintenance” according to Julien, but he did sprain it in Game 6 against Carolina.
David Krejci is still skating alone, but is expected to join one of the sessions this morning.
