Tanguay to Calgary

Fantasy Impact – Calgary has brought back left winger Alex Tanguay for 2010-11. The veteran signed a one year deal worth $1.7 million (with a NMC).
The Flames get: A once-solid top six forward, who has fallen on hard times over the past two NHL seasons. Tanguay has only 26 goals in his past 130 games. He had his best NHL season back in 2006-07 with Calgary with 22 goals and 81 points in 81 games. This is a low-risk, medium-reward type of move. Tanguay will get a long look at the top line left wing spot.
Fantasy Players impacted: This is Tanguay's last chance at being a contributor at the NHL level. He has played in Calgary before and probably has some level of familiarity with Jarome Iginla and some of the other forwards. This move may hurt Rene Bourque, who saw lots of time on the top line with Iginla last season.
Fantasy Players this helps, in order:
1. Tanguay
2. Jarome Iginla
3. Matt Stajan
Fantasy Players this hurts, in order:
1. Bourque
2. Nik Hagman
