Goldie here with a few goalie notes. Our good friend Rosso tweeted that Igor Bobkov is in fact heading to London, ONT to play with the Knights this season, while Pens prospect Alex Pechursky is expected to play in the AHL. That one interests me, as there’s really no spot for him with Curry, Thiessen and Modig in the mix. He probably ends up in Wheeling with Modig. Finally, Dan Ellis is 6-foot-0 and he Tweeted that his pads are only 1/2 inch shorter than last year.

Chip Alexander reports that Jiri Tlusty is still rehabbing his knee and will not skate for a few more weeks yet. He tore his ACL. Tlusty is a boom or bust prospect and this year will be very telling.

Spector dug up a report that Cristobal Huet will play in Switzerland next season.

Bryan Little has signed a three-year deal worth $7.15 million, according to Nick Kypreos. Look for him to bounce around the top three lines and in the end he should rebound with 52 points.

I had a great time at C’est What in downtown Toronto last night (explains the late ramblings this morning). I don’t think any of you took me up on my offer yesterday to drop in and say hi though. But besides myself there was Puck Daddy’s Greg Wyshynski and Sean Leahy, CBC’s Jeff Marek, McKeen’s Gus Katsaros and Leaf blogger Steve Dangle. I threw a couple of drunken pictures below.

Russian reporter Pavel Lysenkov is saying that Ilya Kovalchuk will sign a contract with New Jersey by tomorrow. Look for the Devils to do some scrambling, that would mean moving some well-known Devils to new cities.

He also reports that Atlanta has signed Andrei Zubarev to a two-way, two-year contract. The offensive blueliner could be a diamond in the rough, though I’d be surprised if he makes the team this season. But with Valabik and Sopel likely to miss games with injuries, he’ll get in 20 or 30 games and if he impresses we’ll see him a year from now.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – Thanks for Vejmelkmories

Elizabeth and Lewis reunite to bring you all the latest fantasy news and strategy, such as how our siblings would fare if called on to fill our roles like Owen Sillinger did for bro Cole. Then it’s onto news including coverage of the postponed CGY/LAK game and defensive injuries piling up in MIN and putting some strain on Gustavsson’s performance. Injuries and outjuries include a pair of goalies returning to their teams in Ingram and Shesterkin, as well as how Monahan’s wrist injury opens the door for big minutes for Fantilli. Finally, the pair touch on Voronkov and PLD’s hot streaks, and discuss John Carlson’s rollercoaster in light of Chychrun’s production.

Keeping Karlsson: Tuch Hunch

On this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast mega-show, Elan and Brian tour every team, ranking a slate of the least bad goalies, noticing the wind in some Red Wings’ and Stars’ sails, dangling snoozer status above a pair of commonly rostered power-play quarterbacks, and rushing or strolling, accordingly, to some skaters on the up and up.
