NOW on sale – the DobberHockey Interactive Playoff Draft List, as well as the 2011B version of the Ultimate Fantasy Pack! Now in the shop

Stefan Elliott is two points away from setting the all-time points mark for a defenseman in the WHL (currently 239, Elliott is at 238).

Just as St. Louis felt they could move EJ because of Pietrangelo, Colorado felt they could move Shattenkirk because of Elliott.

Mike Green’s last year in the WHL with Saskatoon – 14 goals, 66 points in 67 games as a 19 year old.

Elliott’s last year in the WHL with Saskatoon – 30 goals, 78 points in 66 games as a 20 year old.

Dobber took the reigns on the Puck Daddy fantasy piece yesterday – worth the read!

I really like Henrik Sedin’s take on the Chara hit. Read it here.

Brad Boyes had a goal (the OT winner) and an assist in over 20 minutes of ice time. The perfect candidate for a breakout in a new environment – he seemed to lose his way (confidence) over the past two years in St. Louis.

Do you want $250? Baseball fan? Head over to DobberBaseball and get details on how you can win $250 bones by picking the best one-day fantasy baseball team – $5 to each person who can beat DobberBaseball’s Dan Snyder!

Tyler Ennis could hit 50 points this season –  a very respectable total. He has 70-75 point upside. Not a big frame but he thinks the game really well and he uses his lack of size to his advantage very well (finding open ice, drawing penalties, that sort of thing).

Lucic and Horton are going to terrorize opposing defenses in the postseason. How can you defend both of them in front of the net?

Claude Giroux is quickly creeping up to the point-per-game mark.

Erik Karlsson had a fantastic game for the Sens – he's had a tough season overall, but last night he showed signs of why he is so highly touted. He scored both of Ottawa's goals and had 10 shots on goal.

Halak and Price faced off in St. Louis last night – the former Montreal goalie came away with the win.

Andy McDonald had three points last night and now has 22 in 19 games since returning from a concussion. Glad I held on to him!

McDonald is averaging over 20 minutes in his past 10 games.

Martin Erat has 17 points in his last 17 games.

Jon Blum was pointless last night but he did see over two minutes of power play ice time.

The kid line in Phoenix combined for a goal – Boedkker, MacLean, and Turris. The trio have played together a lot at the AHL level. Could be looking at the second line in Phoenix next year, even with a coach that heavily favours veterans.

Keith Yandle had a helper for his first point in five games.

Cory Schneider was unbelievable for the Canucks last night in San Jose. He stopped 44 shots, including nine in OT and all three in the shootout. He is already a very good goalie and looks to have all the earmarks of a great one.

Daniel Sedin had two points and now leads the Art Ross race by five (Stamkos and Henrik Sedin are tied with 81).

Sami Salo has goals on consecutive games.

Chris Higgins made his debut on the fourth line, but he saw a regular shift on Vancouver's second power play unit.

Ryan Kesler is making it a habit to hop in the camera during any and all interviews – he was eating pizza the other night during a Raffi Torres interview. Here he is in Luongo’s mask last night…

Ryane Clowe had a great game for the Sharks – he seems to have realized how dominant he can be when he combines his size and skill on a regular basis.

Ian White had two assists and played a ton on the PP (over seven minutes). Seems to be settling in nicely with the Sharks.

My Top 10 Defensive Prospects list will be out on Sunday. A Predator is at the top, and there are more than a few surprises the rest of the way down the list.

Shouldn’t collapse when Sami Salo is on the point:

The NHL is going back to the same marketing campaign – if they are as good as this one I don’t mind one bit:
