Early reports indicate that Ryane Clowe will not be in the SJ lineup tonight…

Johan Franzen's ankle could prevent him from playing tonight. Mike Modano hopes that happens – because it means he gets back into the lineup. I'm sure he doesn't "hope" per se, but it's gotta be tough to be a possible Hall-of-Famer winding things down like this.

Guess who hates sitting out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Everybody. Alright…true, but be more specific. If you said Simon Gagne, you're absolutely right – and he's coming back for Game 1 of TB/BOS.

For the first time all series, Roberto Luongo faced more than 23 shots in regulation. Yep, he faced 24. Actually, this time he faced several tough ones and he played quite well. Ironically, Pekka Rinne only faced 19 shots, so the two goaltenders switched roles for a night.

Two thumbs down to Sergei Kostitsyn, who not only went the final seven games without a point prior to a secondary assist last night, but he also made a huge gaffe in the final minute to blow any chance of a Nashville comeback. He dogged the puck in his own zone and then stumbled when Ryan Kesler put some pressure on him. His hot/cold streaky ways, unfortunately, continued in the postseason and the cold streak hit at the wrong time.

Interesting to see that, with the season on the line, it was Jonathan Blum whom the Predators turned to and not Ryan Suter – and Suter could have switched on in the last 20 seconds.

The Canucks got a boost with the return of Mason Raymond to the lineup last night. That was key, they could always use a solid player like that on the ice.

What? Raymond's played every game? Oh. My bad.

I'm kidding, Raymond has actually had a couple of solid games in a row. The Canucks need that secondary scoring. He's a better player than what we've seen this season.

David Legwand had five points in the last four games. In fact, he has 16 points in his last 18 postseason games. You can't accuse him of not showing up.

Kesler – 10 points in his last four games. If Vancouver wins the Cup, this guy should get something that rhymes with Ron Scythe. Are you sure he shouldn't be captain? I remember floating the idea last summer, but the idea was shot down by some people because of some bad things he said to the media like two years ago.

Triple overtime, Game 7, Hamilton vs. Manitoba where the winner heads to the AHL Western Conference Final. Dustin Boyd fires it home for the win – Bulldogs.

I tried to dig up this hit yesterday but was unable to. I found it today, so here it is – Kronwall on Clowe:
