DobberBaseball was hacked this morning. It is fine now – everything is okay (you may need to refresh, or open/close your browser), although I still need to change some site passwords. Spammers added a couple of redirects which sent the visitor to a spam site, for some reason believing that fantasy baseball enthusiasts would sign up and pay for a product that they weren't looking for. This is why I applaud the American courts for coming down so hard on spammers with lengthy prison terms – because it disrupts people's lives (and livelihoods), some more than others. If I ever meet a guy who tells me he writes spam code for a living, I would have trouble not punching him.

The fact that Bobby Butler wrangled a two-year deal, both one-way, out of the Senators speaks volumes about the opportunity that they plan to give him.

Max Pacioretty played a charity game Wednesday, in what he called his most competitive outing since his injury. He will be fine for training camp.

Steve Sullivan talks about his injuries – knee, hernia and back – as well as his role on the power play in Pittsburgh. To summarize: he's completely healthy and he feels he can quarterback the power play from the left point, as he is a right-handed shot.

A top prospect for Nashville, Craig Smith, will reportedly will forego his last two years in college and turn pro. Smith burst onto the fantasy hockey scene by making Team USA and posting six points in seven games at the World Championship. He is profiled in the Fantasy Prospects Report. He would play a season in the AHL before making the jump.

LA prospect Maxim Kitsyn is playing the next two seasons in the KHL, which damages his odds of playing in the NHL. When a young player returns to Russia, it's hard to get him back. Not impossible, just difficult.

Edmonton has signed Taylor Chorney and Ryan O'Marra. The latter doesn't factor into the team at all this year and the former has probably been passed by Petry on the depth chart.

The Kings have signed Trevor Lewis for another two years. Lewis is buried on the Kings right now and would need a trade to realize his potential. Otherwise, he may never progress beyond the third line.

Calgary has signed Brendan Morrison, as Angus noted yesterday. He is good insurance in case Daymond Langkow's comeback falters. For now, I don't think this impacts my faith in Mikael Backlund or Paul Byron.

Brad Richards highlights to pump up the Rangers fans…
