Some injury notes for you – Pavel Datsyuk is out two weeks after knee surgery. And Jonathan Toews is day to day with an upper body injury.

Between Grossman and Kubina, the Flyers added over 480 pounds. I hadn't realized they were so big. Found that interesting.

Didn't I say that Sutter was a bad fit for the Kings? Of course, I also said that they would win under him, but wouldn't score. I was correct with the latter, not with the former.

With the trade deadline coming next week, this column is both timely and hilarious. It's also quite true. I'm tempted to follow his step- by –step program to thousands of Twitter followers as a rumor maker-upper. Brilliant!

And please join us Monday for our live Deadline Day chat. Always lots of fun…

The Kings new lines in practice: Kopitar with Williams and Nolan; Richards with King and Brown; Loktionov with Lewis and Clifford. Jordan Nolan is a big agitator with some potential to rack up the PIM. On that top line, there is also potential for a point or two.

It sounds as though Vincent Lecavalier will miss some time with an upper body injury. Details are still sketchy, but that would probably push St. Louis back to the line with Stamkos.

My Puck Daddy column from yesterday.

Martin Hanzal left Saturday's contest with a lower-body injury, but there is no further news on that front.

To snap Krejci's scoring drought, he was moved to the wing to play on a line with Chris Kelly and Milan Lucic. It worked well and the line could stick. With Peverley and Horton both out, the Bruins are trying new things. They recalled college star Carter Camper yesterday. Although Camper has just 38 points in 53 AHL games, he had a hat trick Sunday and is wielding a hot stick. Worth keeping an eye on.

Alex Ovechkin probably suffered a lower-body injury Monday. He played a few shifts in the third, but was seen limping and he did not play in the final five or six minutes of regulation.

Make it eight games in a row for 23-year-old Jiri Tlusty. He has nine points during that streak and is a plus-10. I picked him up in one league late last week. You should too.

The Caps are in some serious trouble.  Tomas Vokoun got the hook five minutes in. Neuvirth was better, but the team still lost and they are still out of the postseason at this point.

Justin Peters earned a 17-save shutout Monday. His first career shutout. He has allowed just three goals in three games since being recalled, though one game was just for a period.

Eric Staal has 29 points in his last 22 games. With a plus-3 yesterday, he has boosted his plus/minus to a minus-15 on the year. His career worst is minus-10 and in November I said he wouldn't finish worse than that. Let's hope this goes in my "right 52% of the time" section.

Mike Green was a minus-3 and played over 21 minutes.

Erik Karlsson tallied four points and was a plus-4. He has 57 points in 60 games, keeping himself in the mix as becoming a 75-point defenseman.

PA Parenteau owners must be ecstatic. Not only does he have 53 points in 59 games, but after his 24 PIM yesterday, he's up to 73 on the year! Can you imagine if he tops 70 points and 100 PIM? Man, I would have bet the house against that back in September.

Craig Anderson now has two shutouts in his last three games. And the game he didn't get a shutout in he stopped 42 of 44 shots.

I will hopefully have the Goalie Rankings up later today. After discussions with a reader, and fielding some suggestions over the last few months, I am revamping the formula to better reflect workload and better balance prospects vs. backups, etc.
