Fantasy Impact: The Devils trade Jaromir Jagr to the Panthers in exchange for draft picks.
The Panthers get: a living legend. One of the highest scoring forwards in league history with a spotty recent history of production but one capable of getting hot for stretches.
Joe Whitney (read more on him here), on the other hand, has 42 points in 49 games for New Jersey's AHL affiliate and must certainly be champing at the bit for another chance having scored his first career NHL goal during his own four-game cameo earlier this season. Whitney is diminutive and a long shot but New Jersey is in no position not to be giving these sorts a chance.
Players this helps, in order:
Joe Whitney
Reid Boucher
Players this hurts, in order:
Vincent Trocheck
