Injury updates on Dougie Hamilton, Patrick Kane, Brandon Dubinsky and a host of others…

 

The Stanley Cup playoffs are just a few weeks away and injury information is getting more vague and teams will rest players as they prepare for a Cup run.  Here is the latest injury updates:

BOSTON – Dougie Hamilton (undisclosed – March 22) is out indefinitely, according to head coach Claude Julien, and will be evaluated again in few days.

BOSTON – David Krejci (knee – February 20) is hoping for a return on Thursday.

BOSTON – Brett Connolly (finger – March 4) skated before practice and hopes to get in a few games before the season ends.

BUFFALO – Zemgus Girgensons (foot – February 26) took a shot off his foot and it's looking more and more uncertain that he will be able return this season.

CHICAGO – Patrick Kane (upper body – February 25) skated before practice on Friday and is working towards a return in playoffs.

CHICAGO – Corey Crawford (undisclosed – March 25) left practice, on Wednesday, early after a visit from the team doctor.  He left under his own power.

COLUMBUS – Rene Bourque (upper body – March 24) is day-to-day with an upper body injury.

COLUMBUS – Alexander Wennberg (hand – March 20) has an infected hand and was not cleared to fly as on last Friday.

NEW YORK – Lubomir Visnovsky (lower body – March 17) could return in the next couple of days.

NEW YORK – Martin St. Louis (lower body – March 16) could start skating again on Thursday.

NEW YORK – Henrik Lundqvist (neck) will dress Friday night as Cam Talbot's back up.

OTTAWA – Milan Michalek (upper body – March 22) missed Monday's game and should be listed as day-to-day.

OTTAWA – Craig Anderson (hand – March 17) is listed as a possibility for the weekend according to head coach Dave Cameron.

OTTAWA – Clarke MacArthur (concussion – February 20) is listed as a possibility for the weekend according to head coach Dave Cameron.

OTTAWA – Robin Lehner (upper body – February 19) is not close to returning.

PHILADELPHIA – Luke Schenn (lower body – March 21) will not play Wednesday night and is being evaluated with more information coming on Thursday.

PITTSBURGH – Christian Ehrhoff (upper body – March 25) lasted only 5 minutes Tuesday after being hit by Vladimir Tarasenko and appeared dizzy. He has already missed time this season from a concussion.

PITTSBURGH – Patric Hornqvist (undisclosed – March 15) has been ruled out for Thursday but could play in the upcoming weekend.

PITTSBURGH – Evgeni Malkin (lower body – March 14) has been ruled out for Thursday but could play in the upcoming weekend.

ST. LOUIS – Kevin Shattenkirk (abdomen – February 23) practiced on Tuesday and a return is coming "pretty quick", according to head coach Ken Hitchcock.

TAMPA BAY – Cedric Paquette (upper body – March 11) is a possibility to play Friday.

WINNIPEG – Bryan Little (upper body – March 6) has been practicing with all the regulars and could return Thursday.

WINNIPEG – Dustin Byfuglien (upper body – March 5) has been practicing with all the regulars and could return Thursday.
