Crosby's Dave Semenko? The Penguins just signed the "Boogeyman's" younger brother, Aaron Boogard to a three-year entry level deal. This giant weighs 245 pounds and will definitely not be a power-play specialist. Remember Billy Tibbets? The Pens are not against putting in a player with minimal talent to protect their stars.
The Top 100 Fantasy Goaltender rankings have been updated.
Kevin Bieksa missed yesterday's practice with the flu and is actually questionable for tonight's contest.
Buffalo will play the Rangers, Devils will play Ottawa, Detroit will play either SJ/DAL, Anaheim will play either VAN/SJ. I am 4-3 so far, while the entire DobberHockey panel is an astonishing 6-1. A Vancouver win tonight would put me 5-3 and us at 7-1, which is so impressive I'm definitely going with our collective picks next year!
Brett Lebda missed Sunday's game with a right knee injury and a concussion.
Todd Marchant, who had hernia surgery about two weeks ago, will likely start skating in a few days and could return by the end of Round 2 if the series goes six or seven games.
Bryan Little is close to signing a contract with the Thrashers. Don Waddell mentioned Little, Brett Sterling and Colin Stuart as the players with the best shot at cracking the lineup in the fall.
Martin Havlat underwent surgery on his right shoulder last week. He is expected to be fine for training camp.
Sergei Zubov will be a game time decision tonight. He left the game Saturday with a torso injury and missed practice yesterday. He is expected to play, that is not official yet.
The Stars have killed 52 of their opponents' last 53 power plays (98.1 percent) dating to the regular season.
