Top 100 Keeper League Defensemen – February 2018

2018-02-05
The Top 100 defensemen to own in your points-only keeper leagues, February edition.
Remember, this is a points-only format ranking and while I try to properly blend immediate results with long-term potential, individual team needs are going to be different. I would suggest using the +/- 5.0 rating points format – players within +/- 5.0 ratings of each other should be considered equal and would depend on your needs and preferences.

How do you see Ekman-Larsson’s ranking changing if he is dealt to a competitor at deadline or in the offseason, or if we see a significant improvement from the Arizona Coyotes next year?
We are able to keep 2 defensemen in our league, and I am trying to decide between OEL, McAvoy and Pietrangelo
G A +/- SOG PPP HIT FW BLK
A recommendation: the previous month’s numbers are almost meaningless. Would be much better to compare the Dmen in this list to each other…It is not easy to see who has increased/decreased their stock this month.
Shocked there is no Vince Dunn on this list.
Me too.
It is even more surprising that Jake Walman and Jordan Schmaltz are making that list, while they are ranked after Dunn in the prospect list for February. I am curious about what it means..?
Dunn just missed the cut, barely. I don’t see nearly the offensive upside that Walman and Schmaltz have. Walman and Schmaltz are both drafted in my deep league, but I don’t think I’d even put Dunn my list to draft in the coming summer
Thank you!
