Top 100 Keeper League Goaltenders – March 2018

Here are the top goaltenders to own in your fantasy hockey keeper leagues, March edition.

As usual, I posted the entire Top 100 list over at GoaliePost. Be sure to bookmark that site for the latest starting goalie information, and sign up for free email notifications about last minute starting goalie changes. At this time of year, it could save your skin!

Goalies within a tier I consider equal. One is as good as another, though one may go on a two-month hot streak while another has a horrible three or four months (i.e. I need to see a season-and-a-half of crap from Carey Price before I ever move that guy into Tier 2!). If you like to split hairs, then I have left the ratings and rankings in there. But at the draft table, I'm fine with having any goalie versus any other goalie within the same tier.

I’ve always been curious, if tiers are what drive these rankings, and the ratings are just there for people who like to split hairs, then why are the goalies ranked by ratings, and not tiers, then ratings? While we’re splitting hairs…

I don’t have an answer. Would you like it to be done that way? I have no preference, I’ll leave that to the masses.

I’m personally not too worried about it, just been something that’s piqued my curiosity from time to time. A sortable table would be awesome though… :P

It’s amazing how few reliable goaltenders there are now. I think there are some interesting buy-low candidates.

If you have faith in Allen or Murray, now might be a good time to act. Obviously they are lower on the list because they have risks.

Where is Luongo? I acquired him and Fleury at a steep discount when they were injured, and I have a feeling they will be much higher on the list for next year’s draft/auction. When healthy, they are both in great situations, so the real caveat to their value is how long they can stay health (similar to Murray).

completely agree, tough to find a safe goalie
I really like Talbot to bounce back. As I’ve said on Twitter in my discussion about newborns (and he had twins!)
Luongo can be found on Goalie Post, the full list there
