If the Florida Panthers fail to acquire Vesa Toskala or Manny Fernandez, it looks like they will re-sign Eddie Belfour for another year. The Panthers are also looking at bringing in a second-liner type of free agent such as Scott Hartnell, Viktor Kozlov, Todd White, or Scott Walker.
The Philadelphia Inquirer is spectulating that the Sharks will give Chris Drury a huge contract offer on July 1. He would give them the leadership needed to get them over the hump.
The Edmonton Sun is reporting that the Oilers will not make an offer to Petr Sykora before July 1. They are going to be in the market for a No.1 center and two top-six wingers, plus a quarterback for their power play.

Mike Comrie played the last two rounds of the playoffs with a shoulder injury. He had an awesome first round and then kind of fizzled after that. Now we know why.
