Fantasy Take: Bruins Sign Haula, Foligno, Nosek

The Boston Bruins have signed Erik Haula to a two-year contract with a $2.375 million cap hit, Nick Foligno to a two-year contract worth $3.8 million per season, and Tomas Nosek to a two-year contract worth $1.75 million per season.

These are mainly depth signings that likely shouldn't compete for first-line or top-unit power-play duties. Still, all could provide secondary scoring for the Bruins, with the possibility for more if injuries occur.

Haula had his one big season on the first-year Golden Knights (29 goals and 55 points in 76 games). Yet since moving on from Vegas, he hasn't gotten a foothold anywhere while not producing more than a half point per game. With Brad Marchand and Taylor Hall already at left wing, Haula is likely a third-line forward at best. If the Bruins somehow can't sign David Krejci, Haula's value could improve with a move to center.

At age 33, Foligno is no longer the scoring threat that he once was. On a now-deep Boston team, Foligno also seems destined for the bottom 6 barring injury. He should provide high hit totals for those in deeper bangers leagues. In the hopes that he could provide some scoring and grit for the Leafs in a playoff run, Foligno recorded four points (all assists) in seven regular-season games.

Nosek was a bottom-6 forward for Vegas, which shouldn't change in Boston.
