Rambling about the Oilers (ready to take off?); most improved teams so far; and much more … *** The Edmonton Oilers have arrived. You’ll tell me that I say this every year, but that’s not actually the case. In the past I’ve used words like “could” and “should”. This year I’m saying it, and [...]
Top 300 Fantasy Hockey Keeper League Players - July edition. Where does Auston Matthews rank? How far did Hall topple? In your points-only keeper leagues, here are the top 300 players to own. Fantasy Impact: San Jose Sharks sign winger Mikkel Boedker to a four year contract worth $16 million. The Sharks get: the youngest of the big name players on the market. He's only 26 years old and has two 51-point seasons under his belt. Boedker is still on the upswing. He joins Coach Peter DeBoer, [...]
Fantasy Impact: Washington Capitals sign winger Brett Connolly to a one-year contract worth $850,000. The Capitals get: the sixth overall pick from 2010 at a very good cap hit. Connolly hasn't shown us much at the NHL level, but he's still only 24 and a lot of prospects don't even begin their NHL careers [...]
Fantasy Impact: Florida Panthers sign forward Jonathan Marchessault to a two-year contract worth $1.5 million. And are his attitude problems behind him? That's the 5.75 million dollar question. Radulov led the KHL in scoring in three of the last [...]
Fantasy Impact: The Detroit Red Wings have signed center Frans Nielsen to a six-year deal worth $31.5 million ($5.25M per season). The Wings get: an underrated two-way centerman. His defense is well known, but his offensive capability is what's underrated. Just two years removed from a 59-point season, Nielsen is a steady contributor to [...]

Stamkos had no shortage of suitors - 30 of them, if it wasn't for the cap. But even with the cap he still had a [...]
