Well what a difference a game makes. After the Avalanche rolled the Lightning on Saturday to take a commanding 2-0 series lead, Tampa Bay returned the favor on Monday as they have so often done over the last three postseasons. That leaves some questions as to what to expect for tonight’s Game 4. With any [...]
Wow. Actually "wow" twice! First, the Avalanche absolute domination from Saturday night, making the two-time Stanley Cup champions look old, second-tier, and just outclassed. Sixteen shots, really? Can you say that any one of Tampa’s players had a good game? Nope. And then second to Steve Dotzel, who totally nailed the DFS player predictions for [...]
Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals is a must-win for the Tampa Bay Lightning after they lost the first two games of the series on the road against the Colorado Avalanche. The Lightning lost Game 1 in overtime, but Game 2 wasn’t nearly as close, as the Avalanche embarrassed them 7 – 0. But [...]
Good morning everyone, and welcome to my last Saturday picks of the 2021-22 NHL season. Indeed, even if this series were to reach Game 7, there’s no game scheduled for next Saturday. If it does reach either Game 6 and/or 7, you’ll probably hear of me again for that, but in case this is it [...]
This Stanley Cup Finals matchup is a highly anticipated one with the great storyline of having the “best” team in the league who’s been trying to get over the hump, facing off against the team who has been at the top of the mountain each of the past two seasons. Even with the hype, Game [...]
Well, here we are with one of the best Stanley Cup Finals matchups in at least a decade. Colorado dominated the West, going 12-2 through the 3 rounds. Tampa had to get through what was arguably the toughest road to the Finals in a long time - - Toronto, Florida, and Igor Shesterkin (oops, I [...]
In Thursday’s article, we pieced together a lineup that I entered in the $15 DraftKings Showdown contest that paid $20,000 to 1st place. Thanks to a Brandon Hagel empty net goal and a postgame scoring adjustment that changed Tampa Bay’s second goal from Mikhail Sergachev to Ondrej Palat, I was able to come away with [...]
With Colorado’s sweep we are officially down to just one series happening until someone hoists the Stanley Cup. That means are DFS options are down to single-game Showdown on DrafKings. As a quick refresher, Showdown consists of a roster of six players. One of your six players is designated as your captain and that player [...]
The Stanley Cup Playoffs present some of the most unexpected moments in all of sports – making betting on the games a much more difficult task than the regular season. But since the second round is over and you now have a pulse on the quality of the teams that remain in contention for the [...]
First, congratulations to the Colorado Avalanche for advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals. It was just a year ago that we heard Nathan MacKinnon voice his frustration about having won nothing in his NHL career, and now he’s led his team to the precipice of the ultimate team prize. Prognosticators come and go, but strategy [...]
