Geek of the Week

We are less than two weeks away from Christmas holidays and there’s no shortage of interesting hockey news to talk about. Unfortunately, it seems as though Ben Bishop’s career has come to an end after a tumultuous rehab start in the AHL this week. Thanks to a degenerative knee injury, it seems as though Bishop [...]

Hello again everybody. Hope you all had strong fantasy hockey weeks as we turned the calendar over to December this week. This season feels like it’s been zooming along fairly quickly thus far. The Leafs have really picked up their game lately as they sit atop the standings in the East, while out West, the [...]

Well another week is in the books, with this past week being the first of a few wacky fantasy weeks in terms of scheduling. American Thanksgiving meant there were no Thursday games and a full slate of Friday games, so it was an odd week to say the least. With the Olympics and an All-Star [...]

Another week of hockey is in the books and a few surprising standouts have emerged as of late. This week I am going to take a look at these players who have been on some impressive hot streaks. Some of these players are a big part of why their teams have seen so much success [...]

Well folks, we’re midway through November, and by now we’ve seen a decent sample size across the board from all teams and players. A couple weeks ago I was preaching patience and I highlighted a few players who it would be wise to give some more time. No more mister nice guy though. Eventually in [...]

The Leafs have seemed to [...]

Happy Halloween to all my fellow fantasy hockey ghosts and ghouls out there! Halloween also marks the last day of October, so I figured what better time to recap some of the standouts from the first month of the season. It’s a bit of an abbreviated month since the season doesn’t start right on October [...]

As Week 2 is just about in the books, I figured it would be a good time to examine both some over-performers as well as under-performers and try to provide some insight as to what to do with said players. I find it’s such a delicate balance at the start of the season between being [...]

Well, it was just a short summer layoff, but thankfully the 2021-22 season kicked off this week as we are officially back into the swing of things in fantasy hockey. With a very small sample size to go off of so far, it’s hard to say what players are must-haves and which players might be [...]

With most drafts just about in the books at this point, we are only a couple more sleeps away from real, meaningful NHL hockey! Over the past three weeks I’ve been covering players who found themselves on new clubs heading into this season, but this week I am just going to highlight a few players [...]
