Lucas Main breaks down the latest fantasy information from the Western Conference – the streaks, the slumps, the line combinations and much more.
I wanted to look back at the rookies I had profiled at the beginning of the season. Upon reflection, two of my players haven’t played a game in the NHL this year and five others have been up and down from the minors. Here were my picks from my early October article. I started off [...]
At around this time of the NHL season, players and teams have played around 80 games in the calendar year of 2022. I’ve looked at the statistics for players for that period using Dobber’s Frozen Tools and came away with some interesting takeaways below. Points Connor McDavid leads the NHL and the West with 133 [...]
After 25 to 30 games for each team, new additions to rosters should have acclimated to their new surroundings by now. We will check in with each team in the Western Conference and see how notable additions are doing to date and grade each team. This doesn’t include rookies on each roster. Anaheim Ducks The [...]
I’m always looking to improve and one of the ways I feel I can do that is look back periodically at some of the statements I’ve written and in this case a list of sleepers. There are always reasons for a player not quite getting to where we would like them to get. Was it [...]
Some players had great starts to the season and have since faded and others had slow starts and have come on in November. We will look at some of the most intriguing Western Conference players who have taken off in November or fallen off a cliff. Hopefully, this will help a few people contemplating dropping [...]

This week we are going to look at players from each team in the West and see who are the leaders in points per 60 minutes. There are a few surprising players here who could be available in some pools. I’ve tried to include some numbers from the 2021-22 season as well for comparative purposes. [...]
The Western Conference is dominating the league with the man advantage as they have eight of the top-nine teams on the power play at the moment. On the flip side, they have eight of the bottom 10 teams with the worst penalty kill as well. I wanted to go through each team and see what [...]
Yes, it is early and some of these players will fall back into the middle of the pack of their team, but these are the players who have emerged as the best player on their roster to date. Conversely, we are also looking at the most disappointing player to date from each team as well [...]
I’m going to assume that every NHL team and city has a whipping boy or two on their rosters. This is the player who rightly or wrongly is singled out most nights, for lack of effort, lack of production, giving the puck away, losing a check, or a crappy game Corsi. Since I live in [...]
