We polled the masses about their stance on NHL player point total over/under propositions. Check out how they voted!

The popular betting site Bodog recently released their NHL player point total over/under proposition bets, 104 in all. We polled the masses to see which side they were leaning on each of the over/under propositions. Two of those have already been wiped off the board due to injury as both Jonathan Huberdeau and Sidney Crosby will miss the opening game of the season. How will the masses do on the rest of the propositions? We’ve compiled all the polls into one place. Bookmark this page and follow along all season!

Nice job on this Steve. This will test the “wisdom of crowds”!

Interesting that there are only 31 polls of 104 that had the player under the projections. People are expecting lots of big things this year.

Optimism bias is a real thing.

They went very low this year. Very low. Usually I’m 60-40 for over going through and comparing to my projections. This year I had like two under. And I thought I was conservative. They are being very conservative so I think that’ tells us something – they have been losing a bit of money because betting the under is such a good strategy.
This year it’s hard – I can’t bet so many overs. So I may just cut my check and pull my money from them. Not bet at all. I’ll look at closely later today and decide

There are some gems here among the overs … Tyler Johnson, Kyle Turris, Sasha Barkov and Brock Nelson are the cream of the crop. Barring substantial injuries, they should clear their O/U lines with relative ease. (I hope)
