Top 100 Keeper League Goalies – June

2016-06-22
The top 100 goalies to own in fantasy hockey keeper leagues, June edition. The Andersen fallout…
These rankings are based on keeper leagues, but how much they can help you this year plays a big part – more so than with skaters. This is because the goaltending position fluctuates so much. One day you're a starter, the next day a rookie stud steals your job, the day after that the hotshot rookie gets injured and the job is yours again. Injury proneness and how much a goalie has to share the net also plays a significant role.
Because of how the position fluctuates, it's best to compare goalies within their tier. One Tier 1 goalie is as good as another in terms of risk/reward balance.
As always, go to GOALIE POST for the full list of 100 goalies.

Hopefully F.Andersen is in the top 10 next year at this time! Maybe he will replace Cam Talbot.
He’ll move up as the Leafs improve as a team, no question. Precisely why Talbot is higher this year than last.
2013 – “Dobber, you’re an idiot! Why is Ben Bishop so high? No way he’s worthy of being in the Top 12!”
2014 – “Dobber, you’re an idiot! Why is Braden Holtby so high? No way he’s worthy of being in the Top 12!”
2016 – “Dobber, you’re an idiot! Why is Cam Talbot so high? No way he’s worthy of being in the Top 12!”
And round and round we go!
It’s more helpful to look at rankings that look ahead, not behind.
do you feel Bobrovsky is going to be usurped anytime soon by the likes of Korpisalo? Not familiar with their prospects do they have any blue chips in goal that will threaten him in next 2-3 years. Def need to lock up a workhorse #2 behind Jones in my keeper next season with first pick in round 9.
Bobrovsky – only if he’s hurt. And he gets hurt a lot, so it depends on how badly/how long out. But if healthy, the job is his 100%
Where do you rank Bishop if he is traded to Calgary?
He would slip a few notches for sure. Calgary isn’t as strong a team as TB
How can rank Carey Price as elite after missing almost the entire season?
Because I’m not ranking history, I’m ranking the season and seasons (keeper) ahead
and we all know regardless of last years injuy, Price is the best goalie on the planet, so his potential each season will always be #1, until his play on the ice tells us otherwise.
How many spots will Murray jump for you if/when Fleury is traded?
Why no love for Rinne? Did Nashville get worse? Does Rinne have competition taking his job. Is he old, because Luongo is old too? Just wondering?
Because he was hands-down the worst goalie in the league through January. But he was maybe a Top 15 goalie the last two months, which boosted him back up again. But that first half destroyed a few fantasy teams and I don’t trust him.
Through Feb. 4th – 43 games and 0.903 SV%
After Feb. 4th – 23 games and 0.915 SV%
Ugly.

I think the rankings are spot on. I wouldn’t trade my Holtby for their Jones and Quick. I liked it when the ratings had more seperation like they did years ago. But I believe you are using a different algorithm now.
