    Where did Debrincat go??

  2. FatFrodo 2018-01-11 at 16:52

You don’t seem to be as high on Kyrou as many others. Any particular reason?

    • Gerard Lundrigan 2018-01-16 at 14:05

Thomas and Tolvenen also seem to have incredible hype around them as well but low on this list. I would also be curious as to why on those guys.

      • Dobber 2018-01-16 at 14:32

St. Louis and Nashville will keep them off your pro team for 3-4 years. Don’t fall into the Ty Rattie trap!

        • Gerard Lundrigan 2018-01-16 at 14:57

Hasn’t Poile already come out and said he hopes to have Tolvenen on the Preds as soon as the KHL season is over?

          • Dobber 2018-01-16 at 15:23

I’m sure he will be, and his ranking will continue to rise if that happens. And when it does happen, he won’t shoot up to #1 either, because I saw Fiala do the same thing (three years later, barely making fantasy pro teams). Let’s not forget Radulov. I just don’t like the wait time on prospects with Nashville and St. Louis.
Besides, Tolvenen was a Top 10 KHL scorer in October. November he was Top 20. December Top 25… WJC only one goal. Great prospect, but a lot of the hype is that early Sept/Oct impact and hot KHL start.
He’s 81st now, +/- 5.0 rating points puts him as high as 60th. If they sign him he’ll be around 15-25th. If I like his impact as a pro first few games then he’ll be Top 10. If he makes the team out of camp he could be Top 3.

          • Gerard Lundrigan 2018-01-16 at 16:10

Ok that makes total sense. I’m really interested in prospects cause I’m rebuilding in my keeper/dynasty league pool with a cap.

Rookies are extremely valuable in the set up and the guy who owns Tolvenen has expressed interest in trading for Scheifele from me. I know you don’t know the full ins and out of my specific pool but would like to get your thoughts on a Arvidsson or Nylander/Tolvenen/high draft pick for Scheifele trade?

At present, Both Arvidsson and Nylander have roughly 1.5 fp/g and Scheifele is around 2. I value Scheifele tremendously but thinking if I could trade him for 3 valuable pieces I might pull the trigger.

          • Dobber 2018-01-16 at 16:17

I would consider that if Scheifele was 31 years old, but he’s just getting started.
I traded Malkin last summer for Arvidsson, Drouin and Marchessault…I wouldn’t have done that if Malkin was 24.

  3. Katharsis 2018-01-11 at 17:12

Not that Kaprizov is that high, but I’m curious if there’s any reasoning behind his ranking that high considering he won’t be in the league for 3 years at least after signing that KHL extension.

    • Dobber 2018-01-16 at 14:31

He’s down from 1st. So that’s his decline due to the 3 years
