Zednik to the Island

The Washington Capitals have acquired a second-round pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft from the New York Islanders in exchange for right wing Richard Zednik.
Capitals: Are out of the playoffs anyway and this pick is a decent one.
Islanders: Acquire a third-line winger in the guise of a second-line winger. I can't see Ted Nolan liking Zednik's work ethic, but with the right linemates he could be a 50-point player. The team may be setting the table for a Jason Blake trade.
Fantasy Players Impacted: This is a winger position that is now open for Tomas Fleischmann and Eric Fehr. Their ice time and power-play time will increase. The Caps made a good move. Zednik on the Island? He can't get any worse so the deal helps him, no question.
